Aruba’s cruise ship season 2007-2008 is slowly coming to an end. Only Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas is continuing their visits to Aruba. Adventure of the Seas is going to be the biggest ship to Aruba throughout the quiet summer season.
Coincidentally I stumbled upon a site in Portuguese, Funchal Cruises, which reminded me of the fact that the season is almost over. From what I understood of the post is that Princess Cruises’ Emerald Princess is on a stopover in Portugal’s Funchal island in the Atlantic Ocean on its way to Europe, for the summer season. A few days ago Emerald Princess was still in Aruba for their last round in the Caribbean for this season.
I would like to remind the readers that Aruba is not a big cruise ship destination, at least in comparison to islands in the northern Caribbean. The majority of visitors to the island are stay-over air travelers.
So far this year the cruise tourism has been going pretty well in Aruba. Despite the reportedly slow down in many economies in the world, people seem to stick with their travel plans.
