Delta Airlines Announced today its increasing capacity to Aruba from hubs Altanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and New York City’s JFK. The expected increase is for start this autumn and winter.

In the autumn Delta is planning to add additional flights from New York City in the weekends. In the winter season this is going to be increased to a daily flight, using a Boeing 737-800. From Atlanta the flights will increase from a few times a week now, to a daily flight in the winter.

Aruba airport officials are naturally ecstatic. Airport president declared to be very satisfied with this news, especially due to the fact that airlines are announcing cuts, rather than increases. Just today, Delta announced a decrease in overall capacity by 10 percent.
